Creature Command is a turn-based JRPG-style elemental battle game for the Amazon Show. It is completely voice controlled. It was made within a semester by 16 college students. It was shown at the 2018 Bradley University Fuse Show. It has four characters based on fantastical creatures which combine two of the classical elements for each creature. The elements inform the two attacks players can pick between for that elemental.
For Creature Command, I worked as the Producer, Creative Director, as well as a Character Artist. My role mostly consisted of managing schedules, overseeing the creative vision of the project, assisting team members in designing and creating content, and interfacing with management and Fuse show coordinators.
At the time, this was the largest group I had worked in a leadership role for. While working on this project, I learned the importance of honesty and trust while working in a team environment. By trusting my team completely, I received the same amount of trust back. By giving honest feedback in a considerate way, I was able to keep my team going even when the project hit road bumps which kept the 16-person team together from start to finish.
