Feast Hall Frenzy is a VR destructible sandbox experience where you become the all-powerful wizard. It is developed for the HTV five over the course of one semester by 7 college students. It was showcased at the 2017 Bradley Interactive Media Fuse Show and the 2017 NASA Centennial Challenge Event. In this three-minute experience, you pick up a staff to blast, disintegrate, and throw objects around a hall set and ready for a wonderful feast.
For Feast Hall Frenzy, I worked as a producer, creative director, 3d modeler, and 2nd artist. My role mostly consisted of scheduling, delegating tasks, overseeing the design and content creation, creation of 2d and 3d assets for both in and out of the game, and interfacing with management and show coordinators.
From this project, I learned the basics of virtual reality development and the affordances that needed to be kept in mind. I also learned the basics of being a game producer. I understood what was needed and required of me and how to better help my team.
Below is our gameplay trailer, UI Icons, various models, and early concept art of Feast Hall Frenzy.
